Horizon 9 Band 100w Vertical antenna 40m/10m plus 11m
The HORIZON multi-band antenna is made from durable materials and features a sleek and compact design. It fits together really well and is nicely engineered, and if you are restricted for antenna installation space this HORIZON multi-band vertical could well be the answer to getting you on the bands and making some noise.
The multi-band vertical will operate on all HF Amateur bands from 40m through to 6m including 11m, without the use of a tuner.
We utilise a dual core 4:1 balun to optimise impedance matching. This antenna will comfortably handle 100 watts pep and 50 watts on digital modes such as FT8.
The main radiator for 40m utilises an inductor for top loading. Total length of the vertical is 5.2m.
Our antenna is easy to assemble and install and comes with all the necessary accessories. You can mount it on your roof, wall, or balcony with the included bracket. The U bolts are suitable for 43mm galv tube. The antenna can be mounted on a pole at ground level or elevated depending on the users situation.
The use of counterpoise wires is encouraged and will enhance the performance dramatically. 6 non resonant lengths from 3m long will be sufficient, or ground the antenna to your colour-bond fence. There is a grounding fixture on the balun.
How it works: The antenna is fed using 50 ohm coax via the SO-239 socket at the base of the 4:1 balun housed in a IP65 water proof sealed box at the base of the antenna.
Good quality coax like RG213 or LMR400 is preferred but RG58 will do the job.
